  3. <hi style=afpcap>Apart from producing their little SJ-1, the Standard Aircraft Corporation was selected to build the Handley Page O-400 in 1917, and to deliver sets of components to the U.K. for assembly. The first example was completed in the USA in July 1918 and test flown for publicity purposes. By the end of the war Standard had completed almost 100 sets of components. After the war ended the corporation built a further eight for the US Army. </hi>
